Table of Contents

Table of Contents:

In my table of contents I am going to chose to list the pages that I did because I believe that out of all the pages in my magazine, these nine articles are the most important. I am going to list the table of contents, Donna Style Guide, Model Spotlight, Editor's Letter and Favorites, Predicting Spring Trends, How Models Deal with Body Shaming, Looking Back: 1918 Fashion, and Vintage Chic: How the Past Influences Today. These articles are all loosely related and best represent the overall tone of this magazine issue in particular. They all to some extent discuss influence and style.

For the design of my table of contents I'm going to be using a photo that I took in the Japan pavilion in Epcot. The photo will fill up the entire background. Here is the photo:

I felt that using this photo would add to the stylish tone that I wanted to create for my magazine. I also thought that this photo would be nice to include in the issue because it relates to an article mentioned on my flat plan that discusses the influence of Asian culture on fashion.

The font that I will include on my table of contents is Bernard MT Condensed for any headings and Georgia for any smaller details. I'm using Bernard MT Condensed because as stated on a previous blog post, the rounded yet bold nature of the characters best represent and reflect how women are. I'm also using the Georgia font because it is very commonly used in magazines, newspapers and websites, so I felt it was appropriate in order to give my magazine an authentic feel to it.
Displayed below are the samples for each font.
