Distribution Research (Vanity Fair)

Distribution Research (Vanity Fair):

Unlike Vogue, Vanity Fair gives its audience slightly more ways to consume their media digitally. Vanity Fair offers a digital and print subscription through Amazon. If one were to purchase the digital subscription, they would have to separately purchase a print subscription. This isn't the case with the print subscribers, who are offered a digital subscription with their print subscription free of charge.

A digital subscription is also offered through their app on the App Store for iOS, Nook tablets and Google News. Despite the many platforms that Vanity Fair is offered on, all the apps ask for verification of a current print subscription to view the magazine digitally.

The digital distribution of this magazine is very inclusive to all ages, which is why I would like to also offer a digital version of my magazine that subscribers can buy. I don't like the idea of verifying a print subscription in order to view a magazine digitally, to me it seems like a waste of paper. Instead, I think it's a better idea to keep the same model but offer a digital version of a subscription that's separate from the print subscription and offered on our app across various platforms such as computers, Nooks, Kindles, iPhones and Samsung phones.
